Gwen Arlene Mokry (Young)

August 2nd, 1961 - April 21st, 2023

Passed away at home on April 21st at 61 years of age after fighting a battle with cancer.

Loving wife to her husband Dennis. Beloved mother to her daughters Kathy (Bill), and Shari (Daren) and son Geoff (Tani). Proud grammy to Emma, Olivia, Jordyn, Justin, Sophie, Claire and Liam. Sweet sister to Janice (Ron) and Diane (Robert). Caring sister-in-law to Lionel (Heather), Diane (Jeanette) and Paul. Loving aunt to Stephanie (Kian), Sabrina, Alexander, Skylar (Jacquie), Logan, Sadie (Rob) and Sommer (Steven). She was adored and will be deeply missed by family, friends, neighbours and co-workers.

Gwen was born August 2nd, 1961 to Gordon and Doreen Young (Rout) in Toronto, Ontario. She worked all of her life, once owning an ice cream shop for a few years. She spent many more years working as a store administrator, retiring only late last year when she found it too difficult to work. She enjoyed making stained glass lamps, making jewelry, building projects, gardening, bird watching, cycling, and photography and spending time with her family. She was a caring person, who always made time to listen and ask questions to help others with their worries. She was a diligent worker and lived her life with purpose and integrity. She was smart, kind, creative, thoughtful, selfless, sweet, funny and beautiful.

Gwen lived her life the way she wanted to and enjoyed time with her family and loved ones. As per her wishes there is no funeral or visitation.
