Michael G. O'Rourke

Septmber 14, 1937 - April 6th, 2023

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our warrior Scot, Michael G. O’Rourke, on April 6th, 2023 at the age of 85.

Michael is eternally loved and will be undeniably missed by his soulmate of 61 years Audrey O’Rourke (née David), devoted darling daughter Karina O’Rourke Ricard, and loving son-in-law Jay Ricard. Michael is also survived by Tux, Red and Owl (beloved family pets) and younger brothers in Scotland, Charles and Donald.

Michael left an indelible impact on all who came in contact with him, no matter how brief the exchange. He lived an exemplary life of compassion and humility. His sense of humour and genteel nature with him until the end.

The family wish to thank Dr. Stephen McLaren and the palliative care nurses at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

In accordance with his wishes, Michael has left all arrangements to the behest of his little girl. A private memorial service will take place April 22nd at Dixon Garland Funeral Home. Please contact Karina for details.
