Obituary of (Wilma) Aileen Little

Little, (Wilma) Aileen nee Harrop – passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Douglas Crossing Retirement Residence with family at her side, and was reunited with her beloved partner Myron Bodnarchuk. Aileen, in her 81st year, loving mother of Kim (Murray) Empringham, Kelly (Don) Maloney, and Chris. Cherished Nanna of Rebecca, Brendan, Laura, Michael, Patrick, Maddie and Kenzie. Dear sister of the late Marie (Bill) Wilson, the late Joan (the late Fred) Barnes, and Doreen (Harvey) Burt, sister-in-law of Bob (the late Carol) Little and Carolyn (the late Don) Hoshel, and survived by father of her children, Barry. Aileen was well known for volunteering in the Cedar Grove community, and at Markham Fair, as well as for her 27-year career as a florist after raising her farm family. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, and all who knew her. Friends will be received at the Dixon Garland Funeral Home,166 Main Street North, Markham, on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and at Heritage United Church on Tuesday, January 31 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage United Church, 7046 11th Concession, Markham on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Following a reception at the Church, Interment will be at Stouffville Cemetery,12118 Reesor Road, Stouffville.
