Obituary of Dorothy Virginia Ellis

Ellis, Dorothy V. (nee Walsh)  -  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Ellis (Walsh) peacefully in her 100^th year at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Saturday January 21, 2023.  She was a long time resident of Scarborough and is now reunited with her husband James, sister Shirley Walsh and brother Donald Walsh. She will be dearly missed by her son Donald Ellis  and daughter Dianne Sutherland (Ian).  Loving grandmother of Justin Sutherland (Jennifer) and Brittany Sutherland Young (Mike) and great grandchildren who she loved and was very proud of. 

She was a proud member of the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service (Wren’s) during WWII.

We are grateful to the staff at Stouffville Creek Retirement Centre and the staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their kind, respectful care and compassion shown to mom.

As per Dorothy’s request, cremation has taken place. Private family interment will be held at a later date.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered
