I’m afraid we only recently learned of Connor’s death. There was a time when Connor was a regular guest at our drop-in. When we stopped seeing him, we hoped that he had gotten housed or moved back home. We were all extremely fond of Connor, and we valued his many gifts. He once performed an amazing rap at our Black History month celebration — a rap about the importance of Black History, no less — and was applauded by all. I have one of his pictures framed and in my office: this dragonfly. I realize only now that it was being framed at the time of his death. A sign of resurrection, perhaps. To all who loved Connor, please accept our deepest condolences. From Rev’d Alison and the staff at All Saints Church-Community Centre in Toronto

Connor was such a kind hearted man who always found a way to make everyone smile. I worked for him when he opened ridge line roofing and I feel really lucky because he was more than my boss but a friend.
