Words can't express the sadness we feel hearing of Mike's passing. We live at the St. Regis and have had many wonderful interactions with Mike. He was a friend and a very helpful one at that! We could always count on Mike to help us with the maintenance of our condo. We go through our days in our condo now and think of him at every turn. He will be missed by all of us who live here. We send our deepest condolences to his family and want you to know how much we respected and liked Mike.

So sorry to hear of Mikes passing. He was the man we could always count on at Hallmark to provide what was needed or fix a problem. He played such an important role for many and he was there to help, asking nothing in return. He will be dearly missed. Heartfelt condolences to all.

Dear Nancy & family:
We were sorry to hear about Mike's passing. We have great memories of when the four of us bought our first homes on Pebblewood Ave. in Scarboro becoming neighbours & friends, also starting our families at the same time.
Our thoughts & sympathy are with you at this difficult time.

Wow! Very very saddened to hear about Mike’s sudden (to me) passing! We always would chat about his family and upcoming adventures he had planned!! I heard all about Disney JUST before I went to Disney, so I was fully prepared because of him! We also can’t forget our love of Hawaii!!! He always talked so highly of his wife and children and my heart goes out to you all in this difficult time!

It is with herat sadness I learned of Mike's passing. For years he was part of the Labour Day group on the infamous corner of South Beach Rd. In Youngs Point, Ontario. After parting hardy on Saturday night you would find Mike and I stoking the fire preparing to cook 5 to 6 pounds of bacon followed by 5 to 6 dozen eggs, known as sliders on the open fire. The four families.lost the use of the cottages and while the Godin's kept the Labour Day activities alive at their Clearlake home it was not the same. Rest easy my friend, I will have sliders for breakfast Sunday before coming to wish you farewell. David Wall and family.

Mike was like a second father to me. We met 5 years ago at the St. Regis Toronto. We worked closely together for 3 years. He was a mentor to me and I’m so lucky our paths crossed. He made my life so much less stressful with his kindness, humour, joy and passion for life. I consider it a blessing that he was around. He taught me what It’d be like to be a great husband, father, and grandfather. He spoke about Nancy, his daughters and grandchildren more than anyone could ever know. One day I hope to experience all three of those things in my life and I will always use his wisdom to approach my life in the way he did. He kept things simple. He just enjoyed having a bud-light by the pool, sitting in the sun, and watching his grandchildren play around. I called him one Friday when he was off work and he was so darned happy to be by his pool in Markham - as happy as could be. I want to be just to be just like him one day.
After we stopped working together, we still met once a month for lunch, and spoke on the phone much more often than that. In my times of stress and concern I could always call on Mike to make my day better. He had this way about him that made people feel good. I always knew I could call him, and he’d answer. I always felt better after getting off the phone with him. He kept things simple and happy. He just knew what living a good life was like. I’m so sad he is gone, it’s a big void to fill in my own life, but I know that if I wasn’t living my life in the ways he thought I should, he’d be telling me (without actually telling me anything) to relax. I loved Mike. I’m not sure I ever told him that, and I don’t think he ever knew how much positive impact he had on my life, but I hope he knew how much he meant to me.
I sit here in sadness, but I know he’d want me to to keep living and loving, in the ways he did. Goodbye Mike, love ya.

What a wonderful celebration today! I needed to add humour to my post today (because Mike would have wanted me to). If he ever knew there was a day planned for him (he’d be so darned annoyed). Sorry Mike, for once, I’m not taking your opinions into consideration). You need to be celebrated. When he sent me that picture of him by the pool with his bud light, he was so excited to “rub it in” in the funniest of ways - I was at my desk and he was living his best life. That was textbook Mike :)
