Obituary of Stephen Walter Saunders

_­Stephen Walter Saunders passed away with his family by his side on November 12, 2022 at the age of 85 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years Ann; Children Bruce (Joanne) and Catherine (Andre); Grandchildren Stephen, Michael and Ava as well as his extended family and friends. Raised in Milliken with his 7 siblings, he moved to Markham and started his career at IBM. Steve was active in the Lions club for many years and enjoyed spending his time with his many friends, family, and coffee pals. The family would like to extend special thanks to all those who provided care to Steve especially Sister Barb. Friends and family will be received at the Dixon-Garland funeral home, 166 Main Street North (Markham Road) Markham. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 20^th, 2022 from 11am until time of service in the chapel at 12 noon. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Kidney Foundation, Parkinson Society, or Canadian Cancer Society.
