While Art pastored at Bethel Mennonite and they lived in the church house, they were our neighbours. I enjoyed Women’s Bible Study hosted by Evelyn, and often led by her. We had occasion, as well, to walk and talk our way down the country road to the bridge over the creek and the neighbours’ flats from where we could observe and appreciate our little part of God’s creation. Evelyn was a mentor and a friend.
