Obituary of Laurie Hart

HART, William Laurie Carlton

Laurie passed away peacefully Friday October 7, 2022, at the age of 86.  Loving husband of Bonnie (nee MacDonald).  Beloved father of Michael, late Mary, Jodie (Chris) and Kelly (Jay). Dear Grandfather to Keegan, Jamie, Tyler, Erin, Megan, Madison, Haley, Grace and Lilly.   

Born in Ottawa and raised in Montreal, Laurie was lover of music, arts, and an avid sports fan.  Laurie devoted many years as a teacher, coach, and camp counsellor.  Known for many years by family, extended family, friends, and others for entertaining at gatherings with piano and singing performances.

Friends may call at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North, Markham on Saturday October 15 at 11am until the time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12:30pm. 

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in memory of Laurie to the Bethany Lodge Foundation and Yee Hong Peter K. Kwok Hospice.  The family would like to extend special thanks to all those who provided care to Laurie.
