Obituary of Edith Mary Green

On September 16th, 2022, Edith Mary Green (born Monteith) passed away peacefully at home with her husband John and daughter Carol by her side.  Edith was born on February 24th, 1949 in Belfast, Northern Ireland to David and Mary Monteith.  She was the second youngest of ten siblings, with 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

She will be forever cherished by her husband (John), daughter Carol (Sam) and by her two grandsons Nicholas and Ryan who were her pride and joy and who loved and adored her.  She will be lovingly remembered by many family members in Northern Ireland and in Canada.

The family would like to thank Dr Leena Hajra, Dr Harold Yuen, and the staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital and the Homecare Team for their compassionate support.

Friends and family are invited to attend a time of food and fellowship at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home (166 Main Street North, Markham) on Thursday, September 22nd from 12:30-2:30pm. The service will occur at 2:30 in the chapel, and the interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
