Obituary of Elizabeth May Hoover

Elizabeth (Betty) Hoover in her 97^th year passed away peacefully at Hospice Prince Edward, Picton, Ontario on Saturday, August 13^th, 2022.  Predeceased by her beloved husband Charles (Chuck) Hoover, father Robert Walter, and Mother Francis, brothers George and Robert (Bob).  Betty is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Eric), grandchildren David (Christie), Michael (Paula), Eric Jr., and Heather.  Great grandchildren Kyle, Kasanndra, Marcus, Alex, Dylan, DeonTae, Jackson, Haedon, and Charlize. She is remembered fondly by her grandchildren’s many friends who also called her “Gramma”.

Betty was recognized and honoured for her many years of dedicated service to the community through Markham Veterans Association (honorary life member) Ladies Auxiliary, Older Adults in Action (Seniors Centre Treasurer) and Markham Fair

Visitation, service and reception will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home in Markham on Thursday August 18 starting at 11am with private family internment at Stouffville Cemetery.
