It is with great sadness we announce that Lois Young (nee Hancock) passed away on the 15th of July, 2022 in her 89th year. Lois is predeceased by her husband, John. She will be missed by her son Robert (Janice), daughter Deborah (Kevin), grandchildren and step grandchildren Colin (Zalina), Leah, Tamara (Carter), Wesley (Cassandra) and Jenna. Pictures and videos of her 2 great grandchildren Frankie and Clark always brought her special joy and laughter. Lois had a long and enjoyable career as an office administrator. She enjoyed traveling in general, but especially loved winters in Florida and summers at her beloved cottage on Sturgeon Lake. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Lois at a reception on Thursday, July 21st from 4-6pm at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home (166 Main Street North, Markham)
The family would like to extend their thanks to Senior Helpers of Markham and the nurses, personal service workers and staff of Amica Unionville for their loving care and compassionate support.
