It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of 'Bill' on January 22, 2014 at the age of 88 at Sunnybrook Hospital following a sudden onset of severe pneumonia. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Betty of 67 years, as well as his children and their spouses Bill and Debbie, Dennis and Shirley, Kelly and Gerard and David and Nicole. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Amberly, Ashley, Christian, Tammy, Krystle, Jamie, Mason, and also by his 6 great grandchildren. Bill's family was his greatest focus. He spent his life caring for and nurturing others. His love of life and laughter will be sorely missed. He demanded little but gave a lot. His life was a blessing and he will be forever remembered by his family, friends and those who knew him. Memorial service will be at Hagerman Church 4581 14th Ave (1 block east of Kennedy Road) Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 01:00 pm. If desired, donations to Hagerman Mennonite of Markham.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly, in death

we do the same ~~ It broke our

hearts to lose you, you did not go

alone; for part of us went with you,

the day God you home ~~ You

left us peaceful memories, your love

is still our guide; and though we

cannot see you, you are always at our

side ~~ Our family chain is broken,

and nothing seems the same;

but as God calls us one by one,

the Chain will link again.
