Obituary of Barry Brenford Emmons

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Barry. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Barry is predeceased by his son Paul, parents Nora and Norman, and siblings David and Peter. Barry is survived by his beautiful wife of 55 years Irene, daughter Julie (Chris) Daughter in law Sue, siblings Carol and Gaye, proud brother in law to Roy (Rita) and family and lovely Brenda (Johnny) Carey and family.
 

Born May 13, 1941 (we’re pretty sure everyone knew when his birthday was) Barry was a man with a larger than life sense of humour and was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.  He loved his family more than anything especially his grandchildren Charlotte and Abby, Brandon and Victoria, Damian and Danny.  He left quite a legacy that includes tik tok videos and fishing stories.  He was also an animal lover and loved his girl Maggie!!

Barry was a fighter right to the end but just had no fight left.  He passed peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital December 16, 2021 with Irene and Julie holding his hands and Roy by his side. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses involved in Barry’s care especially Dr. Dancey and Dr. David Rosenberg. Due to Covid there will not be a funeral.  A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Barry’s name to the Ontario SPCA.
