Dear Marg and Family: I am sorry that I have been so tardy in keeping in touch. As you know Bob passed October 13th, 2021. I have been grieving. My sister passed August 27th, and Doug Salmon who is Andrew's Godfather passed August 7th. Our Granddaughter Aubrey was born May 21st, 2021 at 29 weeks. Last year sucked. I am thinking of you all. Be well.
The service was a great tribute to Wayne. Thanks to all the presenters who brought back the Wayne we remember, always smiling, perpetually optimistic and tenacious in pursuit of what he wanted to accomplish. We will always be grateful to Marg and Wayne for encouraging us to go to Malaysia and for guiding us once we were there (“Drifting left”).
My sincere condolences to Margaret and Wayne's family. I have a lot of respect for Wayne as he was my first Dept. Head as a brand new teacher. He was a wonderful leader and got me on the right foot as a teacher and later as a Department Head. We, the Newtonbrook Male coaches enjoyed many weekends at Wayne's cottage on Eagle Lake or Vern Gilbert's Cottage.

As a lifelong Eagle Lake neighbour, my sense of Wayne was always that he must be so curious, given his world travels (even evidenced in the family’s road sign), and enthusiasm for education. I’ll give a special hello when I walk past your driveway tonight.
Such wonderful times shared with Wayne and the family. Daniel and Christiane have so many memories of travels, discoveries and more simply life sharing moments. Rest in peace dear friend and keep an eye on your wonderful family! The Denamur family
My sincere condolece to the Calver family; especially to Laura who was the head of Tech Crew at York Mills C.I. in 1988 when I was transferred to YM and took over as Staff Advisor for the crew. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.
Such a wonderful, engaging and outgoing personality! Wayne was my Superintendent of Schools when I was vice-principal and then principal at Zion Heights Junior High School. He was always supportive and interested in school activities and loved visiting to see staff and students. Personally he encouraged me to become a Superintendent and became a great coach and cheerleader for me. I definitely tried to emulate his positive outlook on life and career and a few times may have actually used ‘good stuff’ while interacting with principals in my family of schools. Wayne and I shared a love for our eastern Ontario roots too. My sincere sympathies to his entire family. Jan Stewart

My deepest condolences to you and the family at this very difficult time. I never knew Wayne personally however; I got to know him through you. Your advocacy and constant support for Wayne was unwavering.
You are a bright light for those who live in Long Term Care. Your passion and dedication is contagious and I am thankful for you and the support that you share.
I pray that as you reflect over the days, weeks and months ahead that the memories of Wayne will bring laughter, peace and joy to your heart.
