Ann Rodger

Obituary of Ann Jeanetta Rodger

Rodger, Ann Jeanetta

(nee Caldwell)

Passed away peacefully at the Sunrise of Unionville Retirement Home on November 16, 2021 at the age of 91.

Dear mother of Debbie Bilinski (John) and Cindy Bobbato (Ezio). Loving grandmother of Alan and Michael Bilinski (Jennifer). She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews and cousins. Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband John. Ann cherished her family and every moment spent with them.

Ann spent most of her life in the communities of Ormstown and Huntingdon, Quebec. She could always be counted on to support her church and its activities. Ann was a firm believer in the importance of the local hospital and spent many years actively involved in the fundraising efforts of its Women’s Auxiliary. She kept busy with many social activities and helping her family and friends. Ann looked forward to every issue of the Gleaner to keep in touch with the Valley news after her move to the Toronto area to be closer to her family.

Family and Friends will be received at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street North, Markham on Sunday, November 21 from 2-4pm. Cremation has already taken place.  A service and interment will take place in Ormstown, Quebec at a later date. Our family would like to extend a special thank you for the excellent care received from the staff at Sunrise and previously at Chartwell Pickering City Centre.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Women's Auxiliary of the Barrie Memorial Hospital or through CanadaHelps.org at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/dames-auxiliaires-de-lhopital-barrie-memorial-womens-auxil/
