Obituary of Mary McGinley Ross

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Mary McGinley Ross on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the age of 90.  Predeceased by her husband, Norman.  Beloved mother of Michael (Debby) and Cathy (Hugh). Loving Granma to Scott (Jenn), Christopher, Michael (Andrea), Sarah, Kelly (Curtis) and Brian (Jenna).  Proud great grandmother to Milli, Grace, James, Evey, Callum, Max, Abby, Russell and Eleanor.  Predeceased by her sister Kay and survived by her sister Lenore.

Mary was born on May 15, 1931 in Hamilton, Ontario and grew up in Toronto. She worked for many years as an office clerk at the T. Eaton Co.  After leaving Eaton’s she worked with Norman in his company, Norm Ross Cartage until her retirement.  Mary and Norman spent many happy summers at their cottage at Lakehurst on Pigeon Lake and wintered at Colonial Estates in Boynton Beach, Florida.  Mary enjoyed bingo, euchre and occasional trips to the casino to play the slots.  Her biggest joy was spending time with her family.
