Obituary of Josephine Blaya de Franch

Franch, Josephine -   April 16, 1930 – September 30, 2021

 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Josephine , on September 30, 2021.

Josephine took her last breath and slipped away peacefully at 1:00 pm at Markham Stouffville Hospital after a lengthy illness and an extremely courageous fight.

To some she was known as Josie, to her family she was known as Pepita, to her grandchildren she was known as Yaya (Grandmother) and to us she was simply known as Mama.

We miss her so much already as we struggle to process our immense loss.

Rest in Peace our beautiful sweet Mama until we meet again.

She is survived by her children: Elisabeth Rossi, (John Rossi), Samantha, Jasmine and Jordan, Marialba D’Oliveira, (Armand D’Oliveira), Olivia and Alexandra and Joseph Franch Jr., Kathryn, Sara and Bella.

Friends will be received at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road) Markham on Monday October 4, 2021 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm & 6:30 – 9:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Parish, 5633 Hwy # 7 Markham at 10:30 am, followed by a procession to Christ the King Cemetery   7770 Steeles Ave E Markham Ont.
