Morgason, Lorne Ambrose

On August 22, 2021 at Markham Stouffville Hospital, in his 100th year. Reunited with his beloved wife Hazel Marie (Shadlock) who predeceased him December 12, 2019. Loving father of Shirley (Roger) Heath, Joanne (Leslie) Cermak, Cathy (Larry) Robertson and Brian (Jennifer).  Adoring grandfather of Scott and Kimberley Heath, Paul Robertson (Tuulia Law), Angela Robertson (Luke Ronka), and Ian Robertson. He was looking forward to his 100th birthday celebration and soon-to-be great-grandchild.  

Lorne was born November 8, 1921 at his family homestead in Uxbridge township as one of 6 siblings.  He proudly served in the Canadian Army in WWII and after discharge, founded Lorne’s Transport Ltd in 1949.  His company still operates today.  Lorne was known for his work ethic, his dedication to his family and his take-it-in stride attitude.  He loved the outdoors and to his final days enjoyed his drives around the country, with a stop for an ice cream.

 Friends will be received at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main St.  N. (Markham Rd.), Markham, on Thursday August 26, 2021 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm.  Private graveside service at Stouffville Cemetery.
