Obituary of Jane Catherine Markowitz

It is with deepest regret that we inform you of the passing of Jane Catherine Markowitz.  

On April 28, 2021, Jane passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long struggle with cancer.

Daughter of Jacob Markowitz and Ruth McCullough, and wife of Jerry Apfelbaum.  Jane is survived by brother Thomas Markowitz and son Jordan Sokoloff.

Jane was a dedicated mother and educator.  Beloved by her family and students, she touched thousands of lives and left each one better for it. She will be greatly missed.

The Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday May 4^th at 11am. See below for instructions to access the livestream. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Markham Stouffville Hospital Cancer Clinic or to Grace Anglican Church Markham.
