Obituary of Edward Koncewicz

It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Edward Koncewicz on Thursday, December 24th from complications of diabetes and heart disease. Loving husband of Eileen and dear father of Erin (Patrick Osler) and Maggie. Special Grandpa to Burke and Freddie. Treasured brother of Stanley (d. Theresa), Henry (Elaine), Olga (Toni Brand), Regina (Billy Russell), and Helen (Norris Kyle).

Ed began his career in 1967 in Montreal at McLeod Young Weir, moving to Toronto in 1979. In his subtle and determined way, he worked in many positions for Scotia McLeod, and then Scotia Capital until his retirement as Managing Director in 2004.

His retirement lent him time to enjoy golf, curling, travel, and his second home in Bethany with family and friends.

Our sincere thanks to the Peterborough Regional Hospital, ICU doctors, nurses, technicians, and all who cared for him.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, when we can all safely gather to pay tribute to him.
