Violet was the most wonderful Mother in Law anyone could have. She was compassionate, loving and caring. I will miss you mom. It was my greatest pleasure to share my life with you, having you help bring up our two daughters and loving me as a daughter. The times we had with you in Washago will always be in my heart and we talk of them often. I love you Always.

All services for Mom were completed on November 21, 2020 and on behalf of our entire family, I would like to again thank the staff of Dixon-Garland for the amazing assistance and understanding during this time. We all feel like it is just one big family and we appreciate knowing that you are there for us, time and again.
I also want to thank my dear friend Reverend Carmen Novosky for her unwavering support, friendship, and amazing final service for Mom. We have been friends for better than 40 years and just like back then, "Auntie Carmen" has always been there for us. Lots of love.

Violet Thompson was a wonderful Mother In Law and I am so lucky to have had her in my life for so many years.
Vi was a very kind and thoughtful person and would always consider other peoples feelings before her own.
She worked tirelessly taking care of husband Dorval and her boys and although she experienced great loss in her life, she never complained.
Whether it was with Benny or Paddy, she was always a part of our family events and we loved to spoil her. When it became difficult for her to come to our home for Christmas, we would bring dinner to her and she would be so excited because she would get to use her "good china". She was so easy to please and she loved pretty things!
The last year and a bit were very difficult times for Vi and she went through a lot of changes in her world. Doug and I worked tirelessly to help her along. Our patio visits and Skype talks brought her great joy and we will miss these things terribly. The world is a quiet place without you now Vi. May you find peace and joy with those that you are now with.
With love and fond memories
Rita

I will always remember the small spitfire of a woman Nan was. She didn't take nonsense from anyone and always had a way to make us laugh, whether on purpose or by accident (like when she was licking chocolate icing out of a bowl and she didn't realize it was all over her face when she came out of the kitchen). I will miss her very much.
