Obituary of Peter Dill

Peter Joseph Dill- Passed away with his precious, giving heart on Saturday, January 11, 2014 in his 73rd year in the loving company of his children and wife of 32 years, Jacquie Cushing Dill. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Ralph Dill. Faithful brother of Mary Lou Quealey. Treasured brother-in-law of Karen Cushing, Bill Martin, and Michael Quealey. Loving father of Jamey, Stephen and Mary Elizabeth. Cherished uncle of David (Kristen), Katie, Kyle, Allison, and Caroline and his grandnephew/nieces Riley, Emily and Camrynn. Dear friend to the many. Peter's life's ministry, whether as a parish priest or in working with families and organizations in building communities of inclusion for people with developmental disabilities, was his passion and, together with his absolute devotion and commitment to his family, his raison d'etre. Peter's quest for love and community was profound and inspired all those who had the privilege to know and love him. Visitation will be held at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road) Markham, on Sunday January 12th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 13th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 5633 Highway 7, Markham. Interment to follow. In memory of Peter, donations may be made to L'Arche Daybreak or Markham Stouffville Hospital.
