Dear Angie, Nikki, Cam and Hailey, Robby, Jenn, Charles and Nathan. In these strange times it’s so difficult to say goodbye to the ones we love when we can’t join together to celebrate their life. On Saturday I took a memorial walk around Kempenfelt Bay to celebrate Wendy’s life and the enormous impact she had on my life. It was a sunny cool crisp morning and wonderful memories of my dear friend, spanning fifty years came to me one after another. I recalled the first time I met her and Walter and I knew then and there I wanted these new friends in my life. I recalled numerous camping trips, walks in nature, corn roasts, picnics, dances, card games, movies, the birth of our kids, our first homes, parties, weddings, and on and on. We also supported one another when saying goodbye to the ones we loved over the years. Wendy’s bubbly personality could fill a room and she would make everyone feel at home. Her sense of humour was infectious. I will always remember her as an amazing friend, mother, godmother, sister, aunt and of course her favourite role - grandmother. She could prepare delicious meals from scratch and loved to entertain. She was an avid reader, a gardener and a very talented knitter. I’m so grateful for all those years and the love, laughter, tears, and support we shared in our families. It’s hard to believe she’s left us but I’m sure she is with the love of her life once again. Always loved and forever missed, Maryanne Strano

Angela, Nicole, Cam, Robby, Jenn and her 3 adorable grandchildren Charles, Nathan, and Hailey our hearts and condolences go out to all of you. Because of all of you your Mom had the strength to carry on after losing the love of her life, your Dad Walter. She was so excited at becoming a Grandmother and could not wait to spoil her Grandchildren at every opportunity she got. You all brought her so much joy and happiness.
To her extended family you are all in our hearts and thoughts at this time. May the love and memories you shared remain in your hearts forever. Wendy had a special way of making everyone she knew feel special and loved and I am sure everyone who knew her felt this.
Wendy meant the world to Roger and me, as did Walter. We shared 50 years together, so many memories and so much love. Wendy and I taught our children to call each other Aunt and Uncle when they addressed either one of us. Even though we are not sisters by blood we are sisters of the heart. We thank God for giving us such a wonderful friend that we adored.
We also know that when Wendy left this world she did not go alone. She took a piece of our hearts of everyone who loved her.
I will keep my promise to you my friend and I will keep a watch over them! Until we meet again.
Love Always, Roger and Sandy
