To the family of Debbie Brown. Please accept my belated condolences on the passing of your daughter/mom/grandmother. I just found out about Debbie's passing. I wanted to let you know that your mom's faith and perseverance through challenging times was inspiring to me. Her frankness and sense of humour always made me laugh. I will miss her but look forward to seeing her again in eternity. God Bless!

Debbie was one in a million, to be sure! She was not a coddler but fierce in her protection of her family. She never tired of saying shocking things.......usually just to get a laugh. Well, she did it again. Having just seen the fabulous photos of her at a wedding a few weeks prior and enjoyed a stop-by visit in late summer where she looked amazing and seemed perfectly well, as usual, it was absolutely numbing to learn of her passing. She rarely seemed unwell. More like unstoppable, in fact! Actually we're certain she would be a little miffed at the sudden departure because of the things she had planned to do......most likely with her many grandchildren whom we all knew she enjoyed being able to spoil in a way she couldn't with her kids. And although she just seemed to look better as time went on, she was 'very ill' as the doctors reminded her. Her management of her life with cancer was nothing short of inspiring. She did what she had to do, and it wasn't great, but she handled it like a trooper; never wasting a moment feeling sorry for herself and embracing any opportunity that came her way. She did death as she did everything........No nonsense. Get it done! She was one of a kind, to be sure and will, without a doubt, be missed deeply by the many who were near and dear. Deepest condolences to Shirley, DJ, Shirene, Troy & JC and her never-ending line of grandchildren of whom she was so very proud.

My sincere condolences to all of you. You guys are all like family to me and Debbie was like a second mom to me (and many others) during my teenage years. She always kept it real and gave us no bullshit advice and I loved that about her! Debbie lit up any room she entered and was loved by everyone she met. Debbie, we will miss you dearly and I know you are now watching over your children, grandchildren, great granddaughter and the rest of your family. Sending you all love during this incredibly difficult time.
