To the Grant family, our condolences on the passing of Ray. The curling community will remember Ray both as a competitor and a friend to other curling clubs like the Oshawa Curling Club. We remember Ray and family (Andy, Randy and Gary) as supporters of the R.S. McLaughlin men's bonspiel for many years; and in recent years, of the Dr. Harding/McLaughlin senior men's bonspiel. Ray set a great example for all of us of the written and unwritten codes of conduct, sportsmanship and fair play, on and off the ice. His good humor and positive attitude were contagious.

So sorry to hear the news. We always enjoyed the stories Ray shared with us. It was an honor to have met him and on the rare occasion to play on his team on the ice. Of course the only time I saw him at the brier was when we were both in the audience in Ottawa.
