Obituary of Lynette Agatha Thomas

THOMAS, Lynette Agatha (nee MARKS)

It is with deep sadness that her husband, Sherman, and sons Lancelot and Jan, announce the passing at age 74, of Lynette, their dearly beloved wife and Mom, respectively, on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the Markham-Stouffville hospital. She was also the greatly loved Mom of the late Jacqueline. Lynette was the proud and endearing grandmother of Rasheda, Laila, (the late) Malik, Isaiah, Jaidah, twins Mayah and Maleah, and Naima. Much loved, admired and cherished by her sisters, brothers, and cousins (who were more like her own brothers and sisters), she was an icon in her immediate and extended family – highly treasured for her loving nature, generosity of spirit and readiness to offer valued advice and provide needed assistance. She will be sorely missed. Family and friends will be received at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main St., Markham North, Markham on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 3-4 pm, 6-7 pm and 8-9 pm. Please reserve your time slot with the family. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, July 29 at 11am at St. Patrick's Parish, 5633 Highway #7, Markham ON, L3P 1B6. Interment will take place at the Christ The King Catholic Cemetery, 7770 Steeles Avenue East, Markham ON L6B 1A8 immediately after the church service.
