My sincere condolences to each of you on the loss of your mother. Joan was one of the first community members to answer the call for volunteers at Markham Stouffville Hospital. I had the pleasure of knowing her for over 20 years. She cared deeply for our patients, families, and staff and was totally committed to her volunteer work on a weekly basis. She was a beautiful human being. May all your fond memories bring a smile to your face as you move forward without her. RIP Joan.
