It was just yesterday I learned of Clive Bloomfield's passing. To say I am shocked is an understatement. Clive was a person who i felt would never pass away. He was a smart business man, very helpful and always happy. He always looked on the bright side.
Clive had his feet planted firmly on the earth coming from Price Albert, Sask. when he decided to follow some other people down to Ontario to NYGH.;
That was where our paths crossed and although he and I drifted apart, Clive was never forgotten.
Each time Clive came to my mind, a smile crossed my mind as well.
RIP my good friend, you brought joy to this man's life and I'm sure it didn't stop with me.

Clive was a good friend to everyone who new him. He was supportive when my husband died and continued to keep in touch. He had a friendly voice and an impish smile. The world lost one of its bright lights. My daughter Sue hopes that Clive & Ron are having a laugh together up in their new home.

Clive was all around a great guy and treated everyone with kindness. He would always have something to share when we met up whether it was stories or memories. Clive will be remembered as one of the happiest people around who not only cared about his family but also his community. Thank you for all you have done for me and my family :)

Irene and Clive were a large part of my life starting in 1977 when I first began to show Boston Terriers. We all became fast friends not only showing the dogs but at parties and get togethers throughout the year.
Clive always loved to talk and share jokes over coffee. As many have commented he was the kindest and most thoughtful of people. Just a couple of weeks ago when I had told him that I had fallen and given myself a black eye the doorbell rang within hours and a beautiful bouquet of flowers arrived.
He was so proud of his family and always told me of their accomplishments. He particularly enjoyed the deep fried turkeys and showed me many pictures of the events.
My deepest sympathies to all the family. He and Irene have both left a huge void but also such wonderful memories. Love Judy

Our deepest condolences to you all! I have many fond memories of the friendship Clive and Irene shared with my Mom & Dad, Jim and Shirley. Clive was a true friend who was there to support my Dad when we lost my Mom. He even continued to look after their grave site following my Dad's passing, ensuring that there were freshly cut flowers. I last saw Clive at the Lynde Centre several months ago. He said we should try and grab a coffee sometime. Regrettably I never got around to taking him up on that invite. He was, and always will be remembered as a kind, caring and loving man. Feeling very sad but very grateful to have known him!
Our best thoughts and wishes, Darrell Cook and Laura Jones

What a wonderful friend and neighbour. Always ready to help or lend you whatever tool you needed. Will cherish fond memories of auction trips, Blue Jays games, pool side drinks, Super Bowl parties and moving the tree from our front lawn.

The best father in-law in the universe, always made my family and I welcome at all our get togethers. Always trying to impress my family with his knowledge of the Cantonese language, always concerned about how we were doing, the most generous man I have met and always had a bad joke to share. I will miss your spontaneous phone calls during my work day and our Tim Hortons and Fish & Chip lunches. You are the best, I will always have a special place in my heart for you and always cherish our time together. Love always Herb

What I will always remember about Clive is his gentle and endearing smile. One memory: When we worked together at NYGY, we were riding in my broken down Karmen Ghia and I complained about a noise it was making. He said, "I can fix that." Trusting his engineering skills, I said, "Great, please do." So he reached for the radio and turned the volume way up. Problem solved, couldn't hear the noise anymore. And, of course, he did it with his mischievous, wonderful smile.

Clive was a lovely and loving man, Father and Grandfather. We first met Clive and Irene when we thought they were our new neighbours (when they were your devoted house sitters during your travels)....and thought we were fortunate to have such great people next door. We were lucky to know him and enjoyed our chats whenever we connected over the years. He will be missed but will live on in our memories. I like to think, he, Irene and my Mom are now watching over us with ❤️ Kim, Prem, Caymen and Rowan Hall
