My name is Angela. Bill was my Dads brother. I have very fond memories of my Aunt Bernice. She was very loving and affectionate. My only regret is not spending more time with her.
I had forgotten that they had met banking. I too, work in banking. Pretty cool coincidence.

C'est bien sûr celle de chère Bernice - celle qui sur Terre, n'a jamais cessé de réchauffer

Aunt Bernice leaves many cherished memories! I recall when she and uncle Bill lived a short walk away from our home in Ottawa. When they moved to Toronto, I loved hearing about the yearly Christmas brunch she would host for her siblings and extended family in the area. Aunt Bernice was a humble soul who profoundly loved her family and her Bill. She is at peace.

A little more than 4 years ago, I visited Aunt Bernice at her home with Jeanne and mom (Doris). She would have been 89ish. We sat at her dining room table and commented how shiny her crystal chandelier was (sans cob webs unlike mine). "So, ma tante, how often does your cleaning person come in"? She quickly set me in my place with, "Cleaning lady? I don't have a cleaning lady, I do the cleaning myself" but because the light was centered to a heavy dining room table impossible for her to move I asked; "What do you use to clean the chandelier, a power sprayer"? ( apparently she didn't own one) .... "non monsieur I climb up on a chair, then stand on the table and dust and polish each one of those crystals myself". I thought she was joking.... she wasn't. Daringly independent "stubborn", great sense of humour, kind, caring and loved her Bill.... Special thank you to oncle Rene and to Jacques and Donna for being there and doing all you did for her.
