I have just today learned of Hazel's passing late last year.

enjoyed seeing you both and I remember her as being so
friendly and welcoming.

My dearest Hazel. You have no idea how much those talks around your kitchen table and a cup of coffee meant to me. You were like the mother I always wished I had and you were never too busy for me.
I hate that I didn't get there to say goodbye.
You know why though.
You will be deeply missed.
You will always be remembered as the grandmother that my daughter wanted. To talk and laugh with no inhibitions. You will be remembered to me as my confidant when I was going through a very traumatic time of my life, you gave me an ear and shoulder to vent and cry. You allowed me the 2 minutes of sitting and resting my aching feet to help with your puzzle and just talk. You were kind to give my children money so we can have ice cream one night just to spend time together. Thank you Hazel. You will be missed
