My deepest condolences to the Cottage family and friends. Bill and Diane were great neighbours and friends to my mom (Thelma) and Alf for many years. They thought very highly of him, as did we. So sorry for your loss.

I would have loved to have had the opportunity to meet Lewis's father at an earlier time. All I can say; he has raised a wonderful man, his son.

Bill's was my first foster father before being adopted into my forever home.
I may have been very young but I will always remember the kindness, safety, love, and stability I felt while I was there.
This love has never been forgotten and neither is or will be his kind soul.
Rest easy Bill,
Thank you for everything you did for me as a child.

So sorry to have lost a great mentor and friend. Bill was my journeyman carpenter and I his apprentice for the North York board of education. He asked me to help in Stouffville on a second floor addition of his family home. I worked along with his family and friends. I spent two days and then bought my first house just around the corner. Bill and his family were like a second family to me and welcomed me in to their lives. We spent many evenings visiting with lots story’s and jokes and lots of laughter. Bill always had great stories. He will be dearly missed.
