Albert George Lyons

April 26, 1945 – November 1, 2019

Al passed away suddenly while on vacation in Portugal with his wife of 49 years, Mary. Al is survived by his wife Mary (Amador), daughter Ema, and granddaughter Gwyneth, brother John (Chris), nephews Alan and Jamie (Maggie), great niece Neala, and great nephews Caelan, Max, and Dean. Al was a quiet presence who was relied on by many. He could expertly handle a chainsaw, was a builder of countless docks and decks, and was a trusted ear for friends and family. He will be missed by friends spread far and wide, his nephews, many cousins, and the neighbourhood family on Rouge St. Celebration of life to be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street N. Markham on Saturday, November 16 from 2 – 5 p.m. in the lower level of the funeral home. Internment took place in his wife’s family town, Pardilho, Portugal on November 5.
