Lorraine Black posted a condolence
Thursday, September 26, 2019
My name is Lorraine Black and I met Bob in the spring of 2019 when we were residents of the IOOF here in Barrie. Bob was one of my table mates, the others being Diane and Ethel.
Bob was a true gentleman and we wished we had known him when he was younger. We would comment to each other how handsome he must have been in his younger years. Now his face was etched in grief for his beloved wife; and pain due to the many challenges he was facing.
Bob always looked forward to visits from his family. He was so proud of his grandsons who saw him frequently and Sarah who taught school nearby and would regularly drop in to see him. He knew Ryan and his family would come to visit on the weekend.
Ethel, Diane and I send you our deepest sympathy and want you to know that we are grateful for the opportunity we had to meet Bob. We hope that your memories of good times together will help to ease your pain in the difficult days ahead. May God bless each of you.
Blessings,
Lorraine

I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing when I received the call from John Trott. Bob and John always visited us when they were with Esab and Bob and I go back to the Way-mar days as well. we had many good times sharing a beverage and conversation when he could get to Sarnia to visit. I have fond memories of Bob and he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my friend. Condolences to the family.

Your life doesn’t end
when you die
it lives on in others:
in those you loved
those you inspired
and those you touched
in many quiet ways
And so you’re not really gone.
Your love and kindness
are still right here,
waiting patiently within us
For when we need you next
For forty-plus years of friendship
thank you Bob
