I extend my sincerest condolences to Bob's family.
I grew up next door to him and we attended Unionville public school along with brothers Don and Ken. We had some good times together but lost track of the family when Dad sold the house.

I was just informed of Bob's passing . I wish to extend my sincerest of condolences to Bob's family and partner. I am so sorry that I was not able to attend his memorial. I saw Bob last on May 25th when he attended the celebration of life for my husband David Smith. I only wish I had been able to spend more time with him on that day. My heart breaks.....

We worked with Bob at the Stiver Mill Farmers' Market for many years. He was the force behind the Market along with Jeanne Ker-Hornell. His passion for the Market was only topped by his caring and generosity. He will be missed. Our sincere condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother, and found comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 -
"The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4 we find God's promise to remove both pain and death. For more comfort, I turn to the website at: www.jw.org (Search: Comfort)

Trying hard to put memories of Bob into words...
We met Bob as young adults. As the CO of highway 60 corridor night patrol, Bob was challenged and responsible for bringing a bunch of eager, inexperienced young men from different backgrounds together, and creating a very efficient team of enforcers. He did this with kindness, understanding and professionalism. Some of these memories included wolf howling, treat of the week, first aid calls, bonfires of magnitude. Bob was a definite positive part in many people's lives and eventual careers.
Our family memories include massive fireworks on the hill, feeding the pigeons, bbq's, many walks in the woods, baseball in the yard, bets to sleep overnight in tents through horrific rainstorms, etc., etc.
Bob will be sadly missed by all of us. Our prayers go out to you Yvonne and Ron and your families.

Dear Yvonne, Ron and families. I had the pleasure of working with Bob during the mid to late 70's in Algonquin Park. He was my supervisor, mentor, and a friend. As the highway 60 Conservation Officer he was in charge of us park wardens during very tumultuous times and I recall him being very professional and having great leadership qualities. He assisted me with my MNR career and I will never forget that. I also remember you two, Yvonne and Ron, running and playing around the west gate. I'm sure you have fond memories of those times. Very, very sorry for your loss.
Dave Saunders, Retired Conservation Officer C068.
