I've known Mary since I was 6 years old. Now at 59, I'm proud to say Mary was a special friend who would call often and talk for at least an hour. She was a driving force to be reckoned with and I loved her feisty personality. Her impact on the Higgs family was indelible; having spent many Xmas', Thanksgivings and Easter dinners with us. She was a rock who understood the dynamics of our family and always give me a third-party perspective. I will miss leaning on her, her laugh, wit, kind words and generous soul. We were blessed to have Mary in our lives.
