Maisa was one of the cousins of my grandfather. I came to know her when I started doing genealogy about ten years ago and found out that there still were living relatives of her generation. From 2010 on, we occasionally exchanged emails and I got the chance to meet her in 2012 when she and Martti came to Finland. In 2016 and 2017 I had business in Toronto and she invited me to stay with her and Unto both times. She was also one of the guests of honour when the descendants of her grandparents arranged a family reunion in Kauhava in July 2016.
I can't thank her enough for her kindness and hospitality. She was a wonderful person and I will miss her dearly. She will live forever in our hearts.
