LEE, Jean Margaret

1928-2019

Passed away peacefully on March, 6 2019 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her loving husband Les. Sadly missed by her sons Mike (Sharon) and Simon (Tracy). Loving Nana of Kevin, Kelsey, Jeremy and Leona. Jean shared a special and most loving relationship with her brother Peter and his wife Maureen who still reside in England.  She enjoyed visiting abroad to spend time with them and her nephew David (Amanda) and her niece Beverley (Jono) and her great nieces and nephews.  Jean and her husband Les formed a special bond with Derek and Kitt Dickenson making the most wonderful Canadian family.  She was proud to be the aunt of Gary (Gayle), Wayne, and godmother to Angie (Peter). They will miss her laughter and joy for life her kindness and spirit.  Jeans zest for life will surely be missed by friends and all that knew her.

Jean was a long time pharmacist in Markham working until the age of 80. She was the first woman managing pharmacist of a boots drugstore in England. Jeans heart lay in her volunteer work.  She founded the Markham foodbank, and was a life member of the Eastern Star.  Dedicated member of Grace Anglican church where her life will be remembered. Visitation will be held at Grace Anglican Church, 19 Parkway Ave on Saturday , March 16 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Anglican Church.
