Lorraine Smith, Dan Cornish, Michelle, Danielle, Jason, Stephen and all the Cornish/Smith Grandchildren posted a condolence

'Mr Barry guy' as he was affectionately known by everyone in the Cornish/Smith household was a great friend. His daily help in renovating/building the Cornish cottage on Steenburg Lake will never be forgotten and we will always be indebted to him for his insistence and pushing to finish the task at hand. Our hearts would stop for a minute every time he walked across on top of the wall he and Danny built to get where he needed to be in a hurry, rather than take the ground route...LOL.
HIs infectious laugh will never be forgotten nor his famous phrases 'bingle-bangle-bongle' and our favourite 'Bob's your uncle and Lucy's your aunt'.
Rest in peace Mr. Barry Guy, I am sure you are already laughing while sipping on a nice cold Labatt's Blue and puffing on a cigarette. We love and miss you!
Love Dan, Lorraine, Michelle, Danielle, Jason, Stephen and all our grandchildren. xo

I was saddened to hear of the passing of my old friend Barry. He was one of my oldest friends and we go back many years. I have many fond memories of us growing up in our teens and the fun we once had. I will remember him always.
To Barry's children, I wish to express my deepest sympathy and say that my thoughts have been with you since I heard the news of your father. I admired him greatly. You must be even prouder of his devotion to each of you. I know all of you will be brave in this time of sorrow as he would have wanted you to be.

So sad to hear the passing of a good man that meant so much to so many !!!
I will never forget that time at the cottage about 10 years ago, when we watched the 72 Canadian and Russia series...
I fell asleep and woke up ... and said ..."holy crap " ... I'm back in 1972 !!!
Boy o boy did we laff our ass off !!!
After that we always made sure to mention that 72 series and the great time we had !!!
Thank-you Bear !!!
Missed by all...loved by many !!!
