Obituary of Stephen Charles Avertt Painter

Painter, Stephen Charles Avertt (Charlie)

Formerly of Markham, Ontario, passed away on January 28, 2019 at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital at the age of 95 with his son by his side. Predeceased by his wife Mary, missed by his son Doug and daughter-in-law Frances of Collingwood.  Pa to grandchildren Ryan Painter (Alana), Brett Painter (Una) and Leslie (Darrell Byers).  Great-Pa to Arwen, Annika, Adia, Maddox and Madison. Survived by sister Mildred and brother Stan and predeceased by brothers Mel, Herv, Ken and Roy. RCAF veteran 1942-1945 and employed for 36 years by Ontario Hydro as a Forester. Charlie enjoyed his golf as a long time member of Meadowbrook  Golf Club. Special thanks to the many people at Chartwell Georgian Traditions, Right at Home Collingwood and Collingwood General and Marine Hospital who provided the family with support and kindness.
