Rita will be long remembered as a cherished family friend. She was a loving, caring babysitter for Heidi when we first moved to 652 Hillview Road in Collins Bay. She was a happy, joyful woman who came to many Halloween, birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas parties with a home baked item to share. Many campfires, canoeing, boating, charades activities at our cottage at Lake Kashwakamak enjoyed her hearty laughter ! I fondly recall her visiting us at 136 West Moira St in Belleville swinging wildly at a piñata hung from a tree limb on Helga's birthday in early September. We continued our relationship with her family in Unionville as our children remained lifelong friends.
May she rest in peace with Our Lord forever.

Reta was a great woman. She was a natural and devoted mother, a loving wife, and a faithful dependable friend. Our twenty-five years together leaves a treasure trove of memories that I will never forget. She served her family well. May she dwell in the house of the Lord forever and in Him find peace.

Wendy & David your mum was a very special lady. We enjoyed many happy times together. She really loved the out of doors, gardens, the woods, canoeing and boating, good times at the lake. She was a good Christian lady, well loved by her church friends, and very supportive of her Church. She loved you and your families with all her heart. We will all miss her.

We are so sorry that we are unable to attend the memorial service for Reta because we are currently in Florida. Rita was a marvelous parishioner, a faithful Christian and a joy to be with. Even when she was suffering she was still volunteering at the information desk of the Markham Stauffville Hospital. She was brave in her illness, always cheerful and helpful. It was a privilege to be part of her life and to be able to minster to her and her loved ones. She is now free from her earthly burdens and at peace in the arms of her Saviour. The Lord bless and comfort all of you.
