On Saturday, January 26th 2019, after marking her 83rd Birthday, Evelyn entered into eternal peace after a courageous and prolonged battle with cancer. Predeceased by her beloved husband John and her dear sister Norma (John) Howard. She will be forever missed by her caring brother John Leeck. Much loved mother of Julie (Mike) Nedvidek, and Al (Pela) Simpson. Cherished Nana was most proud of her grandchildren Brendan, Andrew, John, Zachary, and Christian. She will always be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Evelyn was born and always cherished Eganville and the Ottawa Valley where she enjoyed her many friends and family, Church activities, quilting, and her home on Mink Lake.

In accordance with her wishes, following cremation, a visitation with the family for her friends in Markham will be held on Saturday, February 9, 11 AM to 12 PM in the hall of Bethesda Lutheran Church, 20 Union St., Unionville, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12 PM, and reception to follow in the hall. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church, Eganville, Ontario, a place dear to her heart, at 1pm with a reception to follow in the church reception hall. The family thanks all who cared for her during her last days.
