It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dave McVey on January 4 th , 2019. Loving husband of Lynn (nee Farr). Beloved father of David (Karen), Kelly (Ed), Ryan (Melody). Proud grandfather of Cynthia, Paton, Aliya, Jake, Marcus, Lucas, Caleb, Keegan, Kyle and Ryan. He was the loving son of Kay and Stephen Simms, and stepfather Grant McVey. Big brother to Janice (Andy), John (Janice), and Pat (Jeff). He was known for his generosity, kindness and love for his family. He volunteered countless hours as a Coach, President and Owner in hockey. Visitation will be at DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street N, (Markham Rd) Markham on Thursday January 10 th , 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday January 11 th at 12 noon St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 143 Main St N, Markham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Tire Jumpstart, a charity that helps make sports and play accessible to all Canadian kids. http://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca
