Dear family members of Dawn.
My name is Phil Taylor. I am the owner of Mainly Mac as well I do many Santa Claus events around town at Christmas. I have known Dawn for several years and sold her an iPad as well as set up her TV with Netflix so Dawn could watch her favourite British shows.
On December 17th I was at the Union Villa as Santa Claus and was doing my rounds offering everyone a very Merry Christmas, when I came upon Dawn. I told her who I was and that I was also a friend of Mary, her friend and cleaning lady. She remembered me and we chatted awhile. I asked her how she was enjoying her new accommodations and she said that she "Loved it."
She seemed one of the more "with it" residents there.
Therefore, I was surprised to hear that she passed away on Christmas eve as she seemed to be in good spirits only a few days before.
My condolences for your loss. I did not know Dawn well but I did go to her home on several occasions and had some great talks about the "early days."
She had a very good life. We all should be so lucky!
