OXENHAM, Sidney Edgar

November 5, 1923 – September 18, 2018

Passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Sunnybrook Veterans’ Center. Loving father of Susie and Greg (Rosé nee Garlatti). Caring Grandfather of Julia (James Baskin), Jessica, and Matthew and Great-Grandfather of Berkeley. Sidney will be lovingly remembered by his niece Eleanor Kendall. He was a Flying Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII (436^th Squadron) and served in Burma. He served with the Toronto Fire Department and later became Chief of the Fire Services of Ontario. (Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office) Passed President of the Canadian Federation of Government Employees Organization (CFGEO) and past First Vice-President of Civil Service Association of Ontario (CSAO).  Aide de Camp; Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. A visitation will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main St. N. (Markham Rd.), Markham on Thursday, October 4^th, 2018 from 11am-2pm.
