It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Doug on Saturday September 1, 2018 at the age of 77. Beloved husband to Carol. Loving father of Ann (Wayne), Alan (Lisa). Dear grandad of Matthew (Brittney), Taylor, Samantha and David. Predeceased by his parents Carl and Muriel of Locust Hill. Will be missed by his best friend and loving dog Mike. A special thank you to Dr. Woods at R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre. Family and friends will be received at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North (Markham Road) on Thursday September 6 from 10:30am until time of service in the Chapel at 12 noon.
