Obituary of Rene Pierre Joseph Lafond

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of René Pierre Lafond, Sunday July 1st, 2018 at Scarborough General Hospital surrounded by his family. René was 74 years old. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Yvette, and his sisters Madeleine, Pauline, Susanne and Micheline. He was a devoted husband to Jeanne (nee Fortin) and loving father to Gilles (Mary) and Lise. He was a wonderful grandfather to Zen, Amelia, Sophia and Rose. Lovingly remembered by his siblings Ronald (Sharon), Rita (Daniel), Jeannine and Nicole, as well as many nieces and nephews. René was also a caring father figure to many foster children.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Union Villa Alzheimer’s day group who were so helpful to René.

As per his wishes, cremation is planned, with a celebration of life to follow.
