Two years later, I have heard of this shocking and tragic loss. I am transported back to the days where Katie and Laura and mom Nancy were very much a part of our lives in the Beck-Purchase household. Wonderland, play dates, tea time, movies, art club, and constant word from Nancy about how the girls were doing. Though many years have passed, and we moved away, the memories of our time together are strong. It was always a given to us that Katie and Laura were making their way in the world, their lives and loves unfolding on their own particular journeys. Katie teaching and starting her family, Laura still adventuring, not ready to settle quite yet. . . and then years slip by. David and Ian and I were stunned to learn of Laura's passing and we all wish to share our condolences, to Katie, and her family. It is impossible for us to imagine the depth of your loss Katie, I can imagine you think of Laura daily. I remember her as a feisty, irrepressible, adorable, titian haired little darling. I never knew her as an adult, but I can imagine there was still a lot of that in her. Your mother loved you as you love your little ones now, you were both the focus of all love and pride in her life. Please know you are in our hearts.
With much love and sadness, Andrea Beck and David and Ian Purchase.

My heart is so sad to hear of the loss of Laura from this realm. I remember Laura's smiling face when she came to singing lessons with Katie many years ago when they were very young. She was a caring, kind, sensitive soul ... and cute as a button!

Katie- it seems like only a short time ago that you, Laura and I were sharing Babysitter’s Club books and walking to school together. I am so sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with your whole family at such a difficult time. You were always such a good sister and I know how important you were to Laura, and she to you. A sister’s bond is never broken, and I know you will carry her with you in your heart.

This still doesn’t feel quite real. You were too full of life to leave us. You were one of my favourite people. You came into my life when you were 10 years old and I fell in love with you right away. We bonded immediately. You were my cousin but always felt like a little sister. You had the biggest heart. You always made everyone feel like they were so special. You will me missed so much by Jer and I.
Love you always and forever,
Gayle

My dear sister in law Laura,
I never really got to know you too well because you left us so early. Me and Katie would talk about you and how we would all one day get together and just be silly.
We will miss you very much and we will always keep you in our hearts.
We'll meet again someday.

My Dear Sister Laura,
I can still hear your voice, your laugh.. as if you're still here in the room. Life just isn't fair sometimes and doesn't always make sense. Sometimes I think maybe your mission on Earth was short because you have bigger, more important missions ahead of you in the after life.
Whatever the case little sis, you will forever be in my heart, and never far from my mind. I know if I want to speak to you, all I have to do is close my eyes and you will be there in spirit to let me know that you're okay and that somehow I'll make it through.
I love you little "Yaura" as I used to say when we were very young.
Until we meet again.

So hurt and saddened to hear of this. Laura was such a big part of my life growing up and I’ll always remember her answering next door to come out and play.
Sending your family lots of love and well wishes.

Dear Katie,
I am still missing Laura,Mom and Dad. But I know that they all will be together in
Heaven. I will never forget being with her in the hospital and hoping that some miracle would wake her up. She was far too young and she will always be in my heart.
Love, Auntie Janet ❤️
