Hilda Jean Pearson (Nee Farr)

Passed away peacefully at her retirement home in Markham, in her 106th year, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Harvey Russell Pearson. Much loved mother of Bill (Mary) of Lindsay, Ronald (Gail) of Toronto and Murray (Birgit) of Ottawa. Adored grandmother of 8 and much loved GG of 9 Great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her grace, strength, great sense of humour and her incredible passion for life. She was awarded the Markham Volunteer of the Year award for her considerable community support activities. She is a life time member of the Unionville Curling Club and a founder of the Markham Stouffville Hospital and Union Villa. Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at Rouge Valley and the Amica Retirement Homes for their kindness and attentiveness to her in her period of declining health. There will be no funeral service but a family gathering and celebration of her life prior to her interment at the Elmwood Cemetery in Markham at a later date.
