I'm very sorry to here about Junes passing. I had the pleasure of meeting your Mom last Thursday at Amica. I gather she was my Moms best friend at Amica where they had most meals together. She was so sweet in insisting that I sit with my Mom and she would move. Very interested in who I was and where I lived etc. We had a lovely conversation about Lawrence Park where she/you(?) lived. I remember leaving and thinking how sweet she was.

June Labbett was an outstanding individual, and her example of grace, inclusiveness and strength inspired my life. I am forever grateful that our paths crossed at Camp Oconto. Wishing her family strength at this time of loss. xo Jackie Rourke 1975-84

Dear Lisa and family ,
My thoughts and sympathies are with you and your family at this time . Your mother , June was so full of life when I had the privilege of meeting her at Camp Oconto . I will never forget the boat ride Cliff and her took me on around Eagle Lake . Remembering us running out of gas and your Mom insisting on paddling home always brings a smile to my face . She had a great life and I know all the great memories you have of her will bring you comfort .

To the Labbett and Kennedy families, deepest Condolences with my thoughts, prayers are with you. Many hearts will ache as we comfort each other in the many memories that'll lift our heart from sadness to overflow with smiles, laughter & love that Mrs. Labbett always gave to anyone she knew!
A great Lady who never under estimated the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around making a long & lasting impression to so many throughout her life and beyond!
In the movie Phenomenon, John Travolta's character was dying so he asked his girlfriend if she'd remember him for the rest of his life & she said, "No, I'll remember you for the rest of mine". Appropriate as June (and Cliff) Labbett will never be forgotten, always remembered with caring, generosity, passion for life, their smiles, laughter and love for all for evermore on the shores of Eagle Lake!
In Deepest Condolence,
Jan (Richardson) Ingrassia

I first met June Labbett 56 years ago. Little did I know the tremendous effect she would have on my life, through Camp Oconto. To me she was probably the wisdom and support for literally thousands of young girls and women, and also as we have all grown older. She was larger than life!
Thank you June for everything you gave to me personally, even though you will never know how much, and I keep discovering new things every day.
You will never be forgotten.
To the whole Labbett and Kennedy clan, my thoughts, prayers and love is with you. Please remember the very best of June - it won't be hard. She will be with you always.

It is with sadness that I write this small note. But, I also write with happiness because I remember June and the love that she had for kids at camp and for her family.
June's enthusiasm for life and fun I will always remember. She touched so many hearts with her caring and understanding.
She will truly be remembered and missed. She knows that the family she leaves behind will move forward as she would want.
